5:30pm-8:30pm, Jan 30, 2020
Swing Space building, 2175 West Mall, Vancouver Campus
Undergraduate Research Opportunities
This event brings interested faculty and committed undergraduate students together in a “speed interview” format. The URO committee will first screen hundreds of interested undergraduate applicants for you and then select those with the most commitment, research experience, and interest. We will then pair them up with you in the format of one-on-one 10 minute interviews.
This event is beneficial for both students and faculty as it provides a platform for students to practice interview skills, and allows investigators to meet a large number of interested students within a 2-hour period (approximately 10 students total). Further progression to volunteering, NSERC applications, Work Learn applications, SSRP applications, or other grants is at the discretion of the PI and the student.
If you are looking for enthusiastic undergraduates to join your research team and would be interested in participating in URO’s Research Involvement Fair, please email us back stating your interest by Saturday, January 18th at 11:59pm, more information will be provided soon after.
